The very name “Ibiza” conjures images of a hedonist’s paradise – the ultimate party island. While this is certainly still true people do go there for Ibiza holidays to relax and unwind a little. In fact Ibiza is a fantastic holiday destination for young people and families.
One of Spain’s Balearic Islands, Ibiza enjoys a beautifully warm climate from April to October every year. To celebrate this, one of the island’s main nightclubs, Space, holds its opening party at the begninning of June each year. If you visit Ibiza outside of these times and you will find that the weather is a little more unpredictable. For this reason, many of the island’s hotels, bars and clubs are closed outside of these months, although some remain open.
The island’s capital, Ibiza Town is a fabulous place to spend time exploring quaint, old streets during the day, stopping every now and then for a vino rosso in one of the bars. Es Cana is a perfect spot to unwind thanks to its sandy shores and clear, blue waters. It’s no surprise it’s a favourite among beach lovers. When night time comes, the activity of choice is hitting one of Ibiza’s legendary nightclubs – most of which are still going strong at 6am.at the earliest. Sunrise on the beach also creates a real buzz each morning.
In order to attract more diverse groups of people to Ibiza holidays there are more and more 5 star hotels being opened on the island. This is to raise the expectations of people who have never been there before as many believe the only accommodation in Ibiza to be cheap hotels or apartments. So if it’s a little luxury you’re looking for, you’ll certainly find it in one of the newer Ibiza hotels.
